Plan Amendment, Curtailment or Settlement” (Amendments to TAS 19) In January 2019, the POA published Amendments to TAS 19 “Plan Amendment, Curtailment or Settlement” The amendments require entities to use updated actuarial assumptions to determine current service cost and net interest for the remainder of the annual reporting period after a plan amendment, curtailment or settlement occurs. An entity shall apply these amendments for annual reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2019, early application is permitted. If an entity applies these amendments for an earlier period, it shall disclose that fact. Prepayment Features with Negative Compensation (Amendments to TFRS 9) The POA issued minor amendments to TFRS 9 Financial Instruments to enable companies to measure some prepayable financial assets at amortised cost. Applying TFRS 9, a company would measure a financial asset with so-called negative compensation at fair value through profit or loss. Applying the amendments, if a specific condition is met, entities will be able to measure at amortised cost some prepayable financial assets with so-called negative compensation. The amendments are effective from annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2019, with early application permitted. The Group is in the process of assessing the impact of the interpretation on financial position or performance of the Group. iii) The new standards, amendments and interpretations that are issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) but not issued by Public Oversight Authority (POA) The following standards, interpretations and amendments to existing IFRS standards are issued by the IASB but not yet effective up to the date of issuance of the financial statements. However, these standards, interpretations and amendments to existing IFRS standards are not yet adapted/issued by the POA, thus they do not constitute part of TFRS. The Group will make the necessary changes to its financial statements after the new standards and interpretations are issued and become effective under TFRS.
